Stribling Insiders: Dena Driver
As a long time Brooklyn resident, Dena is committed to its parks, schools, and waterfront. When starting out in property management, she worked and volunteered for several non-profits ranging from park stewardship to little league. Not only does she manage and live in a three-family brownstone in her beloved Cobble Hill neighborhood, but she also has overseen significant renovations, repairs, and maintenance as well as assisting with accounting and taxes, insurance coverage, and Landmarks Commission approvals for multiple Brooklyn properties. We caught up with Dena to chat about why she joined Stribling, her mission to help bring a billion oysters back to NYC waters, and how scuba diving factors into her vacation destinations.
When did you first get into residential real estate and why?
I started in 2000 in property management. My father was a well-known architect in Dallas, TX. Real estate sales, management and design have always been a part of my life.
What is your favorite part about being a real estate agent?
I love to see a project come together.
Why did you choose Stribling & Associates?
I moved from a larger, national brokerage seeking a less corporate environment where I can work with my clients on an individual basis. Stribling has a more hands-on approach, where I can create the best marketing for each unique property and design quality.
Do you have a favorite neighborhood and why?
Cobble Hill, Brooklyn where I have lived in my three-family brownstone for many years.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love yoga, and I am a big proponent of the Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Billion Oyster Project — the goal is to bring one billion oysters back to NY Harbor by 2030!
What is an achievement of which you are most proud?
My long-standing relationships with my clients — I treat every deal as if it were my own property.
And of course my two children!

Mexican
